Decatur Industrial Electric Announces Addition to Customer Reliability Team

Decatur Industrial Electric is pleased to announce Chad Stohler has joined the company as a Reliability Specialist. Stohler is an accomplished account manager working his entire career within the B2B sector, most recently focusing on hydraulics and engineered solutions.

A native of Indiana and an Indiana University graduate, Stohler will be servicing current and prospective customers in Indiana as well as Ohio and Kentucky.

“Chad is an industry veteran with a wealth of knowledge in his territory, particularly the Indiana area” said Rich Brunner, Director of Strategic Accounts. “I know he will be able to make an immediate impact with customers in providing reliability-based solutions.”

Decatur Industrial Electric is pleased to announce Allen Edwards has joined the company as a Reliability Specialist. Edwards is an accomplished account manager working his entire career within the electrical and electronic manufacturing industry.

In his new role, Edwards will be servicing current and prospective customers in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.

Decatur Industrial Electric Announces Richard Brunner as Director of Strategic Accounts

Decatur Industrial Electric is pleased to welcome Richard “Rich” Brunner as an addition to its Leadership Team. Brunner is an accomplished sales executive with over 20 years of experience in leading high-performance teams and developing valued partnerships with customers. Rich was a D.I.E. team member approximately 20 years ago at the beginning of his career on the inside and outside sales team.

Rich is coming to us from Nidec Corporation (US Motors) where he was a sales manager over large capital projects. In his new role, Brunner will have primary responsibility for leading our team of reliability specialists/account managers in the Midwest and partnering with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.

Rich is originally from Oakley, IL, where his roots in the electrical industry date back to his father, a IBEW 146 electrician. Rich is a National Guard Veteran. He currently lives outside Champaign, with his wife of 26 years, where they are raising a small herd of black angus beef cattle.

Meet Felix!

Felix is the definition of “servant heart.” Custodian on the weekdays and Pastor on Sundays.
Felix does an outstanding job keeping Decatur Industrial Electric clean. However, this employee spotlight section is going to concentrate more on what Felix does outside of our four walls because, well, it’s pretty cool!

Growing up in Nigeria, Felix felt his calling to be a pastor at a young age, but it took many years for him to accept this. He moved to the United States to attend college. He attended Monmouth College and later attended the University of Illinois to receive his masters. After getting his masters, he started working, but still felt a calling to be a pastor. Today he is the Pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Clinton, Iowa (where he travels every weekend!).

Outside of work and the ministry, Felix likes to relax and watch some of his favorite programs – basically anything on PBS and Discovery. He loves nature programs and anything about outerspace exploration. Oh – and we can’t forget football.

Felix A. has been with Decatur Industrial Electric going on 4 years.

Jeff Meyer Presents at GOEPS Symposium

Over 150 people took part Tuesday in Jeff Meyer’s, Director of Industrial Solutions, presentation on the “Fundamentals of A/C Motor Mechanicals and Testing.”

Jeff has been with Decatur Industrial Electric for 15 years. Jeff promotes a 360-degree Life-Cycle experience for our customers electro-mechanical equipment and can frequently be found at customer facilities helping with their reliability program.

This presentation was part of the Grain Operations & Entrapment Prevention Symposium in Bloomington, IL Tuesday, March 10. This event was designed for those who work directly with grain and feed who would benefit from topics that are focused on operations, safety, health and environmental issues.

This event was hosted by GEAPS, GFAI and the Grain Handling Safety Coalition.
